According to the organizers of GL events Exhibitions, more than 2,500 exhibitors will occupy the four halls of the Paris-Nord Villepinte exhibition center for the third edition of Global Industrie: these numbers confirm the success of an event which, evidently, with annually alternating venues in Paris and Lyon Eurexpo, found its right balance, so much so that it is expected to exceed the attendance of 45,861 visitors recorded by the 2019 edition in Lyon.
Created in 2018 to give more international scope to the French mechanical engineering industry, Global Industrie brings together four trade shows with a long and consolidated tradition, which recently had reported a certain decline: Midest, a trade show for industrial subcontracting and a showcase for third-party machining specialists; Industrie, the exhibition of technologies, machine tools and accessories; Smart Industries, dedicated to automation and the industry of the future, this year with a special focus on Artificial Intelligence; Tolexpo, dedicated to machines and plants for machining ferrous and non-ferrous metals, from foundry to downstream machining for sheet metal, bars, pipes and profiles.
The main theme of Global Industrie 2020 will be the ecological and energy transition in industry, with events, round tables, a visitor itinerary called “Sustainable Industry” which will identify the stands of exhibitors selected for their ecological and energy approach and finally a special prize among the Global Industrie Awards for the most significant actions taken by companies in 2019 in the field of ecological transition.
The peculiarity of Global Industrie is the willingness to provide space and visibility to the entire industrial ecosystem, with the related user chains and value chains, which in the 2020 edition will be concentrated in 20 industrial sectors of reference to facilitate visitor itineraries, while maintaining the identity of the four exhibitions that make up Global Industrie. As a matter of fact, the Salon Midest, with its large number of advanced subcontracting companies, makes Global Industrie a reference European event for the subcontracting world and even this year the majority of Italian exhibitors present are part of this industrial sector. Another aspect on which the organizers focused this year is globalization, promoting numerous collateral events aimed at various European countries, including Italy, African (Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Cameroon, Senegal and Ivory Coast) and Asian countries (China and Turkey).
