Dispensing Robots for Any Requirement
Thanks to a broad catalogue and to more than thirty years of experience, ISCRA dielectrics – distributor for Italy and for the Balkan area of the products manufactured by the American company Fisnar Inc. – provides dispensing solutions for several applications. Below is a brief overview of some of the most widely used systems: a valid indication to help users choose the most appropriate solution when it comes to dispensing liquid products for industrial purposes.

Besides selling insulating materials for the electrical-electronic sector, ISCRA dielectrics provides manual and robotic systems for dispending liquid products for industrial use, such as adhesives, sealants, paints, oils, greases, pastes and more, including two-component adhesives and resins. These devices are equipped with dispensing software – designed to allow for easy programming as well as simple use – to be employed as stand-alone systems, which therefore do not need to be connected to an external PC and can be installed on in-line production systems. The certified quality devices are made by the American company Fisnar Inc., represented by ISCRA dielectrics both in Italy and in the Balkan area.
Analog and digital desktop dispensers: compactness, precision and control
We are talking about electro-pneumatic fluid dispensers, suitable for all uses, versatile and practical, like Fisnar Inc. SL101N model. The device is a simple and compact dispenser with an affordable price. Programming can be performed in a simple and self-learning way, thanks to the so-called “teach & learn” process, with the possibility to save and recall up to 10 different programs. The automatic cycle is one of the three operating modes of the system, along with the “manual” mode, for dispensing operations controlled by a pedal, and the “timing” mode, by setting a pre-defined dispensing time. Touch-sensitive controls are used to program the SL101N device with dispensing time ranging from 0.001 to 99.999 s. The air input ranges from 70 to100 psi (5 to 7 bar), while the air output can be set from 1 to 100 psi. A suck-back system, which works when the dispenser is not in action, ensures no drippings of low-viscosity fluids. The “automatic cycle” mode automatically generates cycles that include the dispensing time and the wait or pause condition between one cycle and the next one. This feature makes the SL101N dispenser a stand-alone, semi-automatic device that can be controlled remotely or rather integrated into a Fisnar Inc. robotic system.
Desktop dispensing robots: making the manual process simpler
Desktop dispensing robots make manual processes simpler, saving costs in terms of material waste, time and labour.
The tested F.7000N Series of 3- or 4-axis Cartesian robots ensures the highest flexibility for dispensing applications. Thanks to continuous control over the 5 axes, the F7405N robot, the latest addition to the Fisnar Inc. family, make it possible to operate in those applications that are quite difficult to reach with standard robots.
The various models have a work area ranging from 200 x 200 mm up to 400 x 400 mm. Equipped with a special device for easy programming, they can be easily programmed by self-learning thanks to a specific dispensing software. The various possible configurations with accessories such as valves and tanks make it possible to provide the best solution for the use of robots with a wide range of liquids.
Cartesian robots to automate the fluid dispensing process
These are sturdy machines, ideal for supporting and handling systems for dispensing and mixing single or two-component fluids, which can easily be integrated into an industrial automation system.
The F9000N series includes high-power and servo driven Gantry or Cantilever Cartesian robots, particularly suitable for being used on lines with conveyor belts. A dispenser for two-component products, for example, can be mounted on the Z axis of the robot, capable of handling up to 7 kg at a maximum speed of 1,000 mm/s. Programming is extremely simple thanks to the dedicated dispensing software that make it possible to save up to 100 programs of 3,000 points each. A 20 μm repeatability and a 10 μm resolution make the devices of this series ideal for accurate dispensing operations as well as for applications on working areas up to 800 x 600 mm (X, Y). Gantry industrial robots – working with all the axes above the work area, making them ideal for large dispensing applications – are available with 600 x 600 mm and 300 x 300 mm work area, all with a 200 mm
Z axis to meet the requirements of customers. All have a wide range of dispensing accessories.
Rotary table for complete dispensing
In order to dispense material in circular shapes, Fisnar Inc. presented at the last edition of productronica the new F1300N robot consisting of a rotary table, easy to use, equipped with a rotating platform for dispensing adhesives, silicones, greases and lubricants and with an integrated dispenser control. The models of this series are completely adjustable as for rotation speed, ring diameter and rotation time. They are available with one or two dispensing stations. It is possible to use syringes, cartridges or valves mounted on the Z-axis support. It is also possible to adjust some parameters, such as dispensing or rotation delay, rotation angle and the waiting time before the automatic cycle starts.
Two component products: choosing the best system
ISCRA dielectrics pays a special attention to two-component dispensing. Resin and hardener should be mixed according to the ratio indicated by the manufacturer, in order to obtain the desired polymerization, with consequent hardening and transition to the solid state. The field of application of this type of products is very wide. It is essential to choose the ideal machine for dispensing and mixing the material. The machines for two-component dispensing can be systems with fixed or variable dispensing ratio, and with piston pumps or gears. ISCRA dielectrics can integrate or supply dispensing and mixing systems for all its robots, as well as act as a counsellor for providing the most suitable equipments for the required application.
A dispensing and mixing machine performs three key operations for the use of two-component materials: volumetric proportioning of A and B according to the ratio defined by the manufacturer, the dispensing of a quantity of product that can be repeated over time and the correct mixing of A and B dispensed components. Even though the number of variables is high, the choice of an automatic fluid dispensing system can be made over a full range of solutions and technologies related to the use of adhesives, sealants, silicones, RTVs, paints, activators, lubricants, oils, greases, pastes, UV adhesives and many other medium- and high-viscosity fluids.
