Eencoder with IO-Link interface

With the new AHS/AHM36 product family, Sick presents rotative, fully magnetic singleturn and multiturn encoders. The basic versions already offer all functional benefits of IO-Link, such as application-specific configuration using function blocks via an IO-Link Master or easy encoder integration in a wide range of Ethernet and fieldbus networks.

These benefits are complemented by a host of intelligent features for highly versatile mechanical integration. These range from rotatable male connectors or line connections, as well as different shaft designs and assembly hole patterns through to adapter flanges that guarantee compatibility with larger or also competitor encoders. The encoders impress in operation with precision tailored to the needs of the specific application: the singleturn variant AHS36 offers a resolution of up to 12 bits, while the mechanical, batteryless and maintenance-free AHM36 multiturn variant achieves a resolution of up to 24 bits.
