Turin is ready to start off with the 14th edition of A&T, the international trade show dedicated to innovation, technologies and 4.0 skills. On February 12th-14th, in the exhibition space of Oval Lingotto over 20,000 square metres will welcome visitors, exhibitors and the many appointments scheduled during the event. Four topics will be dealt with: production, design, reliability and logistics. Eight supply chains will be analyzed: aerospace, food, automation, automotive, energy, pharma – cosmetics – chemicals, mechanics, wine & beverage. The unifying theme of this 2020 edition is digitization.
A project dedicated to startups
The figures of the last edition, attended by over 15,000 visitors and with more than 400 exhibitors, reconfirmed A&T as a valid exhibition player in our country. In fact, it is not just an event featuring 4.0 industrial technologies dedicated to SMEs, but also a thinking laboratory where entrepreneurial experiences of large and small companies, including startups through the SPARK-UP project dedicated to them, are entwined.
It is by means of this opportunity that A&T established partnerships with such entities on the national territory as the Turin and Milan Polytechnics. In particular, a project was created in partnership with the Digital Innovation Observatories of the School of Management of Milan’s Polytechnic to create research and analysis focuses regarding the development and technological prospects of small and medium enterprises in the 4.0 age. The results of a survey on the digitization of production processes in the Italian industry will be presented during the opening conference of A&T 2020, scheduled for the first day of the trade show.
A committee to create instruments for in-depth studies
Particular attention will be paid this year to the training section. Contents and guidelines are defined thanks to the Industrial Scientific Committee (ISC) of A&T: subdivided into various working tables, this was created to outline the orientation of the issues addressed at the fair, creating tools for in-depth analysis and concrete help for companies.
“Getting companies, in particular SMEs, involved within discussion focuses regarding the main issues related to the innovation of 4.0 production processes and technology transfer – Luciano Malgaroli. A&T’s CEO, stated – is a structured and effective project which we want to make available for the Italian industrial production network, identifying its needs and expectations”. There will be more than 25 appointments including conferences, round tables, and such events as the 4.0 Innovation Award and Accredia. More than fifty workshops scheduled over the three days of the event, organized by the companies present, will offer a showcase and a networking opportunity through the experiences of different types of companies. The aim is to highlight opportunities and needs related to the integration between technologies, persons and skills.
