At the same time, he took in consideration the challenges that CC brings for the components and solutions that LAPP, already a precursor, is able to provide such as the ÖLFLEX® DC 100 cable.
For a further look at the enabling technologies of the future, Professor Caren Dripke of the Institute for Control Engineering of Machine Tools and Manufacturing Units of the University of Stuttgart explored the new UMATI standard (Universal Machine Technology Interface), “The new frontiers of automation: technological integration and collaboration between systems”.
In on demand section of the platform, where interesting content and insights from industry experts will be published. Regarding this, the intervention of LAPPExpert Marco Artoli, Product Manager of LAPP, with a focus on Industrial Ethernet and the new challenges for integration into the Smart Factory. The growing number of nodes in the network, the presence of different IP classes between machines and the factory and, the need for protection from possible hacker attacks are just some of the critical issues that modern infrastructures are called to face. Special attention therefore paid to the LAPP range of industrial switches and, in particular, to the ETHERLINE® ACCESS NF04T NAT / Firewall model, with dual Routing (Layer3) and Switching (Layer2) functionality and integrated firewall.
Finally, the speech by Umberto Galli, Local Application Engineering E2E Solutions of LAPP, relating to the ÖLFLEX® CONNECT family of pre-wired/harnessed cables for servomotors, both for power and data transmission, declined in multiple products and services, thanks to which LAPP is also able to offer customized solutions for all industrial sectors, co-designed with customers.
