Flexibility and customization of machine functions
Earth-moving equipment manufacturer Sampierana and Bosch Rexroth joined forces to produce earth-moving machines. Thanks to Bosch Rexroth’s EOC electronic open circuit system, the manufacturer has designed two innovative excavator models: 60ZT and 65TR, achieving the goal of reducing costs and the probability of downtime, increasing productivity and complying with the latest regulations in terms of environmental impact.
Sampierana, a company with its main production plant in San Piero in Bagno, Emilia-Romagna, designs and assembles versatile, agile and comfortable earth-moving machines. Today it is structured in three sectors, undercarriages (Sampierana), spare parts for undercarriages (Sampierana and Berco) and earth-moving machines (Eurocomach). Sampierana also has a branch in Modena with over 6,000 m2 of warehouse space and a logistics hub of over 30,000 m2 in Cesena.
A high-performance and reliable line even in the most demanding contexts
In 1993 Sampierana acquired an Italian constructor of small articulated backhoe loaders with the aim of improving and expanding its production: this is how Eurocomach was born. Today the brand offers two product lines: mini-excavators from 1 to 10 tons, a range recently expanded by the 4-5.5 ton segment, and compact wheeled and tracked loaders. It is a product line which is constantly evolving to respond to a demanding market in terms of performance and quality.
Thanks to its solid network of dealers, Eurocomach has become a brand known all over the world. Eurocomach’s technological solutions help to minimize machine downtime and repair costs. Thanks to the combination of the knowledge acquired in the three sectors – the experience in the construction of tracked undercarriages, the potential of a technical department for the design of complete machines and a spare parts warehouse with a wide range of products available for immediate delivery – today the company can compete on different fronts and sectors.
A partnership arising from shared goals
In a competitive market such as that of earth-moving machinery, it is essential for manufacturers to have a vision focused on innovation, becoming as efficient as possible throughout the entire production process, absorbing costs and avoiding downtime.
To achieve this goal, Sampierana has developed a synergistic partnership with Bosch Rexroth, specialized in the supply of electro-hydraulic solutions. Technical progress is bringing innovative solutions in earth-moving machines thanks to electromobility, aiming to meet the requirements of machine manufacturers to comply with regulations on eco-mobility, emissions and efficiency even in the most severe operating conditions.
The electromobility sector is innovating by means of next-generation digitized components, created through Bosch Rexroth’s experience in mobile applications, technological skills in industrial electrical solutions, and years of work in the automotive field. Thanks to Bosch Rexroth’s electronic open circuit EOC system, Sampierana, with its Eurocomach brand, has been able to design, within two years, two innovative models for end users: 60ZT and 65TR, which are extremely agile, reduce costs and the probability of downtime, increase productivity and comply with the latest regulations in terms of environmental impact.
Flexibility and customization for operators
In recent years, drivers related to emission reductions and safety regulations have accelerated the process of digitization of operating machines and, after the digitization of hydrostatic transmissions for multiple applications, with the introduction of the EOC concept, Bosch Rexroth completes its offer of digitized systems also in the implement part. The main objective is to achieve maximum performance by actively controlling the system physics in terms of flow, pressure and power. The EOC system allows maximum flexibility and customization of functions according to the type of work to be carried out and the preferences of the operator; regulation is exclusively electronic while maintaining the same hardware, this standardization allows a better management of logistics, from optimized management in assembly to the reduction of variants.
