New Governance for a 4.0 production chain oriented organization
On the 19th of July, the first ASSIOT board member meeting was held following the Assembly elections of 11th June.
Presided over by Assunta Galbiati, who will be at the head of the board for the forthcoming two year period, the meeting included the nomination of the executive committee, the working group co-ordinators and the advisory commission which identifies the topics that all companies in the sector have in common.
As well as those who are required to be present – President, Assunta Galbiati (partner and adviser Galbiati Group), Past President Tomaso Carraro (Vice President Carraro Group), delegated Vicepresident for research and innovation Lorenzo Cattini (owner of Cattini e Figlio) and delegated Vicepresident for international relations Mauro Rizzolo (Vice President Logistics Western Europe Schaeffler Italy) – the new executive committee will be made of up the following (re-elected) members Fausto Carboni (CEO Bonfiglioli Group), Antonio Maccaferri (President SAMP group), Vanni Vitali (Country Manager Timken Italy) and Mauro Cominoli (Managing Director Varvel), plus previous ASSIOT councilor, Fabrizio Sasdelli (CEO Cima) and a “new entry” Cesare Cianci (Managing Director Klingelnberg Italy)- supply chain partners will be represented by Domenico D’Agostino (Production Plant Manager Leonardo Helicopters) and Elisa Brescianini (General Manager Link International). The working group co-ordinators will also be taking part in the executive committee activity, as per association statutory stipulations. This group, excluding the synergy work group and the administration and finance commission, has been specifically nominated.
The economic commission will be headed up by a re-elected Fabio Gallo – Strategic Marketing Director CARRARO. Marino Bertoli – President FARO INDUSTRIALE, and, in the role of communication commission co-ordinator Diego Spini – CEO DMG MORI ITALIA, heading the partner and production chain working group, have also been re-elected. A new face comes in, in the shape of Sergio Sartori – Gear Design Specialist LEONARDO HELICOPTERS leading the technical commission.
At the end of the sessions, with a fully renewed governance set up, Assunta Galbiati reminded all those present of the association’s new objectives. “This is a market in expansion, going through the fundamental transformation to digital. As representatives of this sector, the association must also change, not only concerning itself with associate members’ needs but opening up to the entire production chain: during the commission and working group meetings, the belief in and requirements of Industry 4.0 as a new business model based on sharing and collaboration that will cement our companies’ value, will be at the fore. This is Italy’s heritage and future.”
