To make selecting the right hose even easier for its customers, Parker’s Hose Products Division offers the GlobalCore unified product family. Built on the ISO 18752 specification, GlobalCore was developed on how hoses are specified and used by customers, by pressure range and not by construction. It is a cohesive hose and fitting system, providing one simple solution of robust hydraulic hoses designed to endure the toughest conditions.
A unified system for the most commonly used pressure classes
Parker recently expanded GlobalCore with a 7 Mpa (1000 psi) ISO 18752 hose, which means the product family now provides options for the most critical sizes such as -40 and -48 and pressure ranges ranging from 7 Mpa (1000 psi) to 42,0 MPa (6000 psi). Manufactured in Europe, North America and Asia, Parker’s GlobalCore hoses are GlobalCore has been developed to help customers significantly to reduce engineering and service complexity. The unified system provides hoses across the most commonly used constant working pressure classes. GlobalCore is built to the ISO 18752 specification and tested to twice the standard, ensuring high performance in harsh environments and high-impulse applications. The ISO specification is important to Parker’s customers, many of whom are global companies: they don’t want to use traditional regional standards to specify hydraulic hoses, given that their equipment is build, used and maintained all over the world. The global ISO 18752 standard helps solve these issues, simplifying the specifications of hydraulic hoses across applications, markets and locations.
Selecting hoses and fittings is extremely simple
To make things even easier for its customers, Parker made GlobalCore based on working pressure no matter the hose dash size. Selecting the fitting is even simpler, the 43/48 or 77 Series depending on the hose and working pressure. Beyond making hose selection much easier, converting from various product lines to a single hose family also leads to reduced inventories, reduced maintenance costs and reduced downtime for OEMs and end-users. With the recent addition of 187 Hose, Parker’s comprehensive GlobalCore system has expanded to support lower pressure hydraulic hose needs regardless of where their equipment was originally manufactured or where it is today. The 187 hose fills a gap at the lower end of Parker’s constant working pressure hose range and meets two needs; it can be used as a high-pressure return line, or it can be used to address an application where other hoses may be excessive. The system is simplified and with only six hoses, OEM and MRO customers alike will enjoy selecting the right hose for the respective application.
