RFID reader with stand-alone platform

Turck Banner Italia introduces the first device in its family of Q300 UHF readers with stand-alone interface for Ethernet communication. A reader capable of IP67 protection that encloses the entire RFID technology in a single housing, allowing users to keep well separated the IT part from production by installing the device directly in the field.
“The RFID market will particularly benefit from the reach of the Q300 reader platforms and interfaces. Up to four external antennas can be connected directly to the reader, greatly simplifying the creation of high-performance gate applications in multiplex mode”, explains Giuliano Collodel, managing director of
Turck Banner Italia. The direct connection to triggers and signals, thanks to universal I/Os, also simplifies installation. With an output power of up to 2 W, the readers can reach very wide read/write ranges.
